If you run a hospital, prison, or military chaplaincy, you may wish to use hymns and worship songs during services and public gatherings.

CCLI can provide simple, affordable licences to reproduce hymn/worship song words via print or projection, photocopy sheet music, or show scenes from films. In addition, CCLI can usually provide a streaming licence permitting worship services to be posted online.

As a licence holder you’ll enjoy free access to lyrics on SongSelect, which can be seamlessly pulled into Presenter by WorshipTools. Find the perfect film scene in the ScreenVue Vault.

If you’re an itinerant chaplain, please see Mobile/Itinerant Workers.

CCLI can usually provide licences for Christian conference centres to reproduce song words via projection or print, photocopy sheet music and show films and film scenes.

As a licence holder you’ll gain free access to SongSelect, a simple, single source of lyrics, which can be seamlessly pulled into Presenter by WorshipTools. ScreenVue Vault will help you find the perfect film scene.

CCLI's Church Copyright Licence, Music Reproduction Licence, and Church Video Licence are all available as either annual or short-term event licences.

In some circumstances, your conference centre can require incoming churches/groups to hold their own licences, or to obtain the required permissions before using copyrighted material on your premises.

If you’re organising a one-off event, such as a concert, camp, or conference, CCLI can usually provide a short-term Event Copyright Licence, as long as the event is non-commercial, and certain conditions are met.

CCLI's Mobile Copyright Licence is tailored for itinerant workers and travelling ministries operating across multiple locations. It provides simple, comprehensive, and affordable coverage for the typical copying activities that assist congregational singing such as projecting copyrighted hymn and worship song words stored on computer, or printing them in service sheets or bulletins.

  • The Mobile Copyright Licence is the same as the Church Copyright Licence except that the right to record is not included.
  • The size category for the license should reflect the maximum expected congregation size in the year the licence is active.
  • The licensee must retain sole possession of all copies made under the licence.
  • A Mobile licensee cannot generally use their licence to cover their home church congregation.
  • A CCLI streaming licence add-on is not available for mobile workers.

Mobile licensees can also benefit from a SongSelect subscription, providing a simple, single source of sheet music and free lyrics. SongSelect seamlessly integrates with Presenter by WorshipTools.

Whether you’re organising a wedding, funeral, or service of remembrance, you’ll want to ensure permissions are in place for any songs or creative works you wish to use.

Church-sponsored weddings and funerals (those where the bride, groom, or family usually attend the church) may use the church’s CCLI licences.

Couples or families who do not usually attend the church can obtain an Event Copyright Licence for the reproduction of worship songs and hymns during the service. This would include projecting lyrics onto a screen, or printing them in an Order of Service.

If you intend to use other copyrighted material during the service, or wish to record or stream a wedding or funeral during which copyrighted songs are played, CCLI recommends obtaining direct permission from the owners or licensing agencies who administer the rights.
