Reporting the songs you use in worship is a vital part of being a license holder. This information enables CCLI to facilitate a fair and accurate distribution of royalties to songwriters. And yet, CCLI understands that reporting can be a challenge for many of our customers. Auto-reporting is the answer! Simply connect participating software, and your setlists and service plans will be reported for you. Automatically.

How will it work?

Set up is as simple as choosing the option to connect to CCLI reporting in your participating worship, planning, or presentation software. After that, reporting your use of lyrics will simply happen automatically.

What can be reported?

Auto-reporting allows your church to report song usage under the Church Copyright License and Streaming License from your setlists and service plans via your connected worship, planning, or presentation software.

We will notify churches when auto-reporting becomes available for the Streaming Plus and Rehearsal Licenses. Until then, please continue to report your activity for these licenses on CCLI’s Reporting website.

Will we still report on a periodic basis?

When your church transitions to auto-reporting, your church’s use of songs will be reported to CCLI on an ongoing basis. Churches electing not to use auto-reporting will continue to report activity on a periodic basis on CCLI’s Reporting website.

What if we don’t use any software in our worship?

If you don’t already use worship, planning, or presentation software and don’t wish to start, you will continue to report activity on CCLI’s Reporting website. If you’re interested in using service planning or presentation software for the first time, we recommend WorshipTools. Their applications are free to download, simple to use, and integrate seamlessly with CCLI Reporting.

The presentation software we use isn’t listed. Does this mean we can’t connect to auto-reporting?

We’re already working with an array of partners to enable auto-reporting across the applications you already use and love. Please check back over the coming months as the list will continue to grow. Alternatively, you can try Planning or Presenter by WorshipTools which currently integrate with CCLI Reporting.

Why do we need to report at all?

Reporting your church’s song usage is a requirement for CCLI license holders and a huge blessing to songwriters and music publishers. The data you provide enables CCLI to distribute royalty payments equitably and accurately

We invite you to visit ccli.com/reporting for step-by-step instructions on reporting song usage. All reporting is done through CCLI’s Reporting website, which can be accessed directly, or via your CCLI Profile.
